Hi,

can someone tell me if "liquify" is in Photoshop elements and which version would I need?
Also, can it work on 16 bit files?

Thanks,
Hugh

Yes it is in elements (version 6 anyway, don't know about earlier ones) but I'm unsure about the 16 bit files.
People don't change, they only become more so.

Thanks very much - I'me using Picture Window, but it doesn't have liquify - gulp at the cost of full Photoshop.

Elements 5 has it but not for 16 bit files. Later versions have more features 16 bit friendly, I do not know if liquify is one of them. You might also need to check the level of control that is available, this might be greater in Photoshop / CS. In elements you just get brush size & pressure.

I downloaded the lastest elements trial from the adobe site the other day. It does have the liquify feature but it is rather limited compared to the full photoshop version. Most of the features on elements are very limited compared to ps, but it is useful if you dont want the complication of ps.

Dude, i know its expensive but its well worth it. I mean if your really into photography etc it will soon pay off.

You can download a trial of Photoshop CS4 on the adobe website to try out see if you think its worth the money before paying out however much the recent PS is !

I tried .. I mean I really tried to move away from Photoshop. I looked at GIMP, and the others, and yes they are OK but the plain fact is Photoshop just kills everything else. It is expensive but seriously, for seriously cool images you just gotta have it emoticon
