Location United Kingdom West Sussex Worthing | Basically I want to cut my hair short again and have it all 'messed up' and punky BUT After looking through PureStorm, magazines etc it seems that 99% of models have really long hair I just want to know why? Is it because it's just happened that way or is it because most photographers prefer models with long hair? Being so new to all this I don't really want to shoot myself in the foot by getting it all cut off again and then having no photographers interested at all Any thoughts? |

Location United Kingdom London Acton | Not the models my dear but their agency and photo editors on those magazines, who much prefer longer hair. It takes a very brave model to have her hair cut very short. Scott |

Location United Kingdom West Sussex Worthing | That's what I was thinking of, getting hold of some nice wigs and/or extensions. But I do hate the way the fake hair sticks to things and it just feels so horrible. I've decided that I will cut it off and get a more 'out there' style. At the very least I do modeling because I ENJOY it and not because I'm getting money from it, so why the hell not? |

Location United Kingdom Tyne and Wear Newcastle Upon Tyne | Long hair is so much more versatile for curling, putting in up dos, back-combing, straightening, crimping, etc..you name it. Think carefully before you go for the chop. |

Location United Kingdom Kent Maidstone | Hi, My wife had lovely long hair, so long I could sit on it when we both sat down. Its now cut in a very short bob, and I love it, can now see her back and neck!! Makes great pix, so good on you to be different. Would love to shoot one day when I have a few more shoots under my belt. Mark |

Location United Kingdom West Midlands UK Professional Photographer | When the economy is gloomy we like to make things look extravagent and luxurious even if they are not, hence the trend for lots of well styled long hair and also lots of colour. When (if?) the economy picks up then you may find that shorter cropped hair and blacks and whites will come back Fashion, like news, is cyclical so if you want to know what will happen in the future look to the past The further back you look, the further ahead you can see Paul |
