| Paul_J Photographer Location United Kingdom North Yorkshire Selby / York | hey, just wondering if anyone can point me in the right direction as to where i can buy a metal pole to feed thru paper backdrops so they can be mounted. at min the i'm using a standard backdrop support stand, so the 9ft metal bar that comes with this runs thru the cardboard tube that the paper roll comes supplied on (so no probs currently). but ... i'm shortly going to change to a wall mounted system & buy one of the kits which screws to the wall & holds 3 different backdrops with chains to unroll the backdrop of choice (i'm sure you all know what i'm talking about!). anyhow, although it's a kit, the one piece of the kit which needs to be souced seperately is the pole which hangs the backdrop. i'm going to be using 2.72m rolls (9ft) so the pole needs to be at least this length, and around a 2 inch diameter (although the kit supposedly comes with adapters to allow a little flexibility on the diameter). photographic suppliers don't appear to have these, b&q could only suggest plastic down pipe, i'm told there's nothing in the way of plumbing pipe that'll work. just where do i get a 9ft long metal pole from? |

| skphoto Photographer Location United Kingdom Greater Manchester | Is it the colorame system? Doesnt it come with adaptors that fit in each end of the paper roll and then clip onto the supports? Otherwise try a scaffolding company! |

| Paul_J Photographer Location United Kingdom North Yorkshire Selby / York | hey everyone ... thank you so much for the rush of support! i had more or less decided on the interfit kit (int312) .. but this decision was basically based on the fact a lot of these kits tend to be 'out-of-stock' items. i'll certainly look at the suppliers & other options you're all suggesting though. |

| dominicdgt Photographer Location United Kingdom Kent Gillingham | At £20, this 2", 12' alloy pole is the strongest/cheapest option you'll find, I use a similar length for overhead lighting with 4 lights attached its strong enough. They do other sizes the 12' option is pick up only so you might need to take your hacksaw! http://www.tlc-direct.co.uk/Products/MX381.html Dominic |

| concept Studio | If you are going to use 3 wall brackets with chains you don't need a pole, there are fittings that go into the background rolls and slot into the brackets. |
