| flashman Photographer This member has been suspended | How many others are finding the 'latest craze' is to waste people time on EBay. During the past couple of weeks I have been selling a lot of unwanted items (not photo). One attracted 62 watchers and a number asked to view. Time arranged but never showed. Others email asking question after question. Then at the end only three bidders and none who had previous contact. This has been the third time in the last five weeks. Anyone else suffer from Eflakes Chris |

| RocketMan Photographer This member has been suspended | I asked a question to a chap about an item . As no bidders were listed suddenly the price doubled and a minimum price was listed . Seems very few bargains around and a fair few sharks. Also the P+P seems very high even before Royal Mail increase. Ebay is losing its appeal. Even when their cost are included |

| murphyspal Photographer Location United Kingdom Glasgow | I've all but given up on ebay, certainly not what it once was. Much prefer Gumtree as things are local, easy yo go and view and can eliminate the sometimes ridiculous post and packaging. Although I suppose you get timewasters anywhere | |

| Hobbeldehoy Photographer This member has been suspended This member has been reset to pending Location United Kingdom Dumfries and Galloway Dumfries | It's a buyers market. You have to take the long view if you want a decent price. Take advantage of free listing days and set the minimum price you will accept. |

| dominicdgt Photographer Location United Kingdom Kent Gillingham | I haven't noticed the customer base has changed in culture (better Vs worse) but i'm finding new price isn't as competitive as it was on photographic equipment, that could be an exchange rate issue. Amazon is certainly worth checking out for market place second hand offers though. Dominic |

| jbwalton Photographer Location United Kingdom Strathclyde | Im finnished with ebay and paypal. I sent a camera to someone working 100%. After 4 yes four weeks he tries to claim it never worked. Paypal refunded without investigation and when camera came back it was spotlessly clean and the mirror was jammed. Crux of the matter is Paypal said its not their job to say who is lying and now im 70 quid down for a repair. All for the fact the ass is a camera dealer who sold it on and Im his blinkin warrantee when HIS customer breaks it . Rant over |

| andy_h Photographer Location United Kingdom Lancashire Lancaster | eyeing up a potential waster at the moment who bid on and won my iMac Saturday morning. Currently ignoring requests for payment. He may be away from a computer, or have technical difficulties, but you stick a £1200 bid in on something, you ideally should be looking to take ownership of it within a day or two He's got til tomorrow before a dispute gets raised. I hope it's just a slight blip On the P+P charges, I think I've lost out on what it's actually cost me for materials, postage and insurance (so as to avoid disputes of non receipt) at around £10-£15 for a guitar. It was a rough guess, so those who do it more often probably add a little more on for extra tracking services etc |

| spikey19872007 Photographer | There have always been time wasters, mickey takers, liars, thugs, thieves, etc etc. I know I keep checking Ebay, no real bargains any more and in all honesty things are generally if not mostly more expensive then if you went through a shop or dealer. There are certainly no bargains to be had and when you factor in Paypal and its customer service in to the mix. I wonder how or why they keep it going in the UK, or even why people use it. |
