| TheStudioMK Photographer Location United Kingdom Buckinghamshire Milton Keynes | I have a mate who has a office space, it's a nice size... two floors... he's approached me with a view to converting it into a photographic studio... It's in Milton Keynes, even though just on the outskirts... even though I think of this as a plus as it's quite and away from things... Thinking of converting the top floor into 4 shoot spaces... girlie bedroom, rockchick bedroom, living room scene and a office scene... Looking at charging around £40 a hour, 140 for 4 hour half day... and £200 for the full 8 hour day... Would come with both full pic and video lighting... Had a nice bathroom, kitch and parking space... Do people think it's a good idea ? Means people dont have to travel into London with all the hussle and bussle of London and the inflated prices... Are many people using Studios nowadays ? |

| PTPStudio Studio | Dont Do it!!!!!! I think to be honest £40 per hour is high, we struggle charging £20 p/h to get bookings and I know another studio in Essex that charge the same and don't have a booking for the next month. Its very tough at the moment there is not the money about. |

| Keltica Photographer Location United Kingdom Middlesex Twickenham | Ouch £40 an hour................ try £20 as there are not enough pro shooters around willing to pay that, and your bread and butter is amateurs. You would be better off selling fish and chips. |

Yeah I know some London Studios are charging way more... but then I guess they have a lot of fashion end stuff being shot there and are a totally difference beast from what we'd be doing.... I know most just hire a hotel room and click away... I am also concerned a little by the "out of way" location of the place... We are looking at other things we could do there to help... |

| RebeccaAmy Model Location United Kingdom Cheshire Wirral | 140 for 4 hour half day... and £200 for the full 8 hour day... So to shoot a decent model you're looking at: £260 for half a day and £400 for a full day. That's without equipment etc. Would you pay that? RebeccaAmy <3 |

| alexkidd Photographer Location United Kingdom East Yorkshire Hull | aye i'd say no, the themes are cheesy enough that it's for amateurs and you'll price them out and if you're charging top dollar you'd need an exceptionally well kitted out studio on top of that the market is cack atm |

| jimbojetset Photographer Location United Kingdom London Uxbridge | Now my studio is 25 an hour cottage four poster room. That is in expensive Surrey. It's like my house, it can be rented for £1400 a month, was £1600 2 years ago. 3 beds 1 bathroom near Heathrow. My parents bless them who both passed away 2 months ago. Very large modern 4 bed, 2 bathrooms, dining room 3 toilets, garage, modern build. I can only rent in Sheffield for a max of £600, reckon will get 550 max at present says Blundells. |

| TheStudioMK Photographer Location United Kingdom Buckinghamshire Milton Keynes | Well the idea of the post was to get people's input... so some interesting feed back... First off it would be equiped... I have Elinchrome 600S lighting, and Arri 650 Junior Video Lighting... We also hold a decent wardrobe... Secondly when I have enquired about hiring studios I have been quoted a day rate of around £180-200... and if in London around £300... maybe they're just trying to over charge me for some reason... please feel free to link me to some of these amazing yet super cheap studios as would love to use them myself ? And yes my themes are cheesy lol, but hey that's the kind of glamour I shoot I guess... I know a lot of people that shoot the same sort of glamour... but I agree the market place does seem pretty quite right now |
