| andybramahphotograph Photographer | might be just me but both would be better just as cropped in headshots for me. particularly the first one as the lighting lacks any kind of mood. with the second one the backlighting is lovely but the plants compete for attention too much. this could be cropped half length and look much better. regards-andy bramah. www.photographerpreston.com |

On second one I confess I had my doubts about the flowers when I was setting up, but I had in mind a B&W conversion and didn't think the colour would be an issue. However, I was not very keen on black & white version and preferred colour. Will try desaturating the flowers to see if that helps. Andy, when you say "crop half-length" do you mean half width or half-height? Have tried a few different ideas on the crop but can't seem to make it work on this shot. Ian |
