| Sdeve Photographer Location United Kingdom Derbyshire Derby | Here is what it is all about. Carrying the torch has meant so much to the people that are doing the carrying that some are up for auction on the well known site. Current price for one is £150,000.00 after no less than 30 bids. Doesn't it just make you feel proud. Another has reached £6,100, but the reserve hasn't been met, presumably because the runner hasn't actually run with it yet. |

| clearview_photography Photographer Location United Kingdom County Durham Durham | Ah you mean the Coca-Cola, McDonalds, Samsung, Visa etc London Olympics Its quite ironic that a big % of Worldwide Olympic Partners / London 2012 Olympic Partners / London 2012 Olympic Supporters / London 2012 Olympic Providers and Suppliers produce items that no athlete would go anywhere near Of course it could be they all train on a mix of Coke, Big Macs, Cadbury Chocolate Bars & HEINEKEN Im just suprised the Torch relay and escorts arent just walking / running adverts in the same way as Forula One drivers |

| PeterH Photographer Location United Kingdom South Yorkshire | Didn't they charge the torch bearers £295 quid for the torch though? They don't seem to mind selling it, so why shouldn't the owner. And wait until the hi-viz jacketed 'olympic officials' are kicking down doors to remove any 'off message' material in the vicinity of an olympic event. No "Free Tibet" poster in your window to embarass the chinese. No BOGOF on pepsi max at Mrs Patels corner shop. Such offenders will be dealt with severely. |

| Einstein Photographer Location United Kingdom West Midlands | The sale is actually for a photo of the torch!! It looks like a lot of people made the same mistake. £150k for a photo? Aren't all bids legally binding? Whoops! Explain that one to the wife when you're sober! |

| Spike Photographer Location United Kingdom Hertfordshire St Albans | So a few torches get sold, what's the problem with that. What's far worse is the official profitteering of big business connected with the Olympics. Considering the Olympics is being substantially paid for out of the public purse it seems a liitle underhand that LOCOG is a private company QED none of the companies records are available to view under the freedom of information act - even though the billions its spending come from the british taxpayer. |

| Socialdisaster Photographer Location United Kingdom Cambridgeshire Cambridge | Saw this on TV today, I get the feeling she's being played with tho, at 150k when others are 3-6k. And she looked majorly uncomfortable on TV as though it was just crossing her mind. I'm still astounded it's not the same torch, carried. I really thought it was. |
