| tonycsm Photographer  Location United Kingdom East Yorkshire Driffield | Today on my landline so far I've had 2 automated calls about PPI, one from someone asking me if I had heard of Facebook and would I like to advertise with them, someone from British Gas trying to get us to go back to them and someone trying to sell me home insurance as well as PPI and the day is still quite young. Considering I'm on the caller preference list ( or whatever it's called), it doesn't somehow seem to be working! I've almost got to the stage where I will put on an answering machine permanently and ring back any impoirtant callers as it's too much hassle answering most of the time only to find it's one of 'those calls'.. So, who's rung you today trying to sell you something or offer you their services? It would be interesting to find out who are the biggest culprits! |

After stringing him along for a while (I was bored) he asked me what OS I was using to which I replied 'leopard'. This seemed to confuse the guy and the phone went dead. Surprise, surprise, 10 minutes later I had a call from 'Apple'.... |

| PeterH Photographer  Location United Kingdom South Yorkshire | None today, but, having had a new Sky box 3 months ago, I'm being plagued by those extended warranty companies who allow you to believe their from sky themselves, offering to sell me insurance. I just hang up these days, no point in being polite anymore, it doesn't stop them. Yesterday I renewed my car insurance, but the firm I was with couldn't price match the online quote I got from the same company! Had to cancel it and take it out again. I think the most hopeful salesman I encountered was the double glazing bod, who knocked on my door, (which, along with the windows had just weeks earlier been installed, all handmade in hardwood by my dear old dad,) asking if I fancied ripping them out and putting some of that white upvc council house stuff in instead! |

| DavidHunt Photographer  Location United Kingdom Hampshire Portsmouth | All the usual, Yellow Pages, Facebook, Google etc. My first question when I realise who it is, is ''Are you Buying or Selling?'' this usually stalls them for a moment or two, then they get back on track spouting off how great they are and I could be on the first page of Google etc (how can EVERYONE be on the first page of Google?) so I say ''You're selling then? Goodbye'' I was approached by a double glazing salesman in a shopping precinct the other day with the usual boring question, would I like a free estimate on replacing all of my double glazing? I replied, ''Sorry mate, I live in a tent'' and walked on by.  |
