After my reply (quite reserved considering how strange I found him) saying that I was fully booked nothing to do with the levels I'd be working to. But for the record I enjoy creating the images I do so don't think you have a right to comment on if I'm happy doing it or not. His response was nice and short: ''Your right all playboy and porn models do pose naked'' Cheeky little git!!! |

Told him where to get off and that he clearly had no idea what he was talking about because there are a hell of a lot of his perfect 'top fashion models' that work to nude too. And that if this was what his comms where were like with a model he wanted to work with he needed to severely change his attitude or no model in their right mind will work with him. Really don't get why he contacted me in the first place if he is SO against nude models... hello? my entire profile is full of it are you blind? |

| IainT Photographer  Location United Kingdom Bedfordshire | If he didn't sound like a weirdo, which I'm pretty sure he is, and had just been basically unfamiliar with the whole nudity thing, then I could see where he was coming from. If you were an outsider looking in, you would say art nude models were a miserable bunch because the always have a neutral expression...or a severe expression, but never a happy expression......but then if I was butt naked, freezin my arse off in March in some dirty and muddy piece of countryside, I would look unhappy and it wouldn't be for any artistic effect, I can tell you.  |

I just looked at your portfolio and most of the art nudes I don't think you looked particularly 'happy and smiley' in. Nothing wrong with that at all as many art nudes are done to look dreamy, sad, seductive... and lots of other poses but that's probably what he meant and he didn't think the bit in front that says that was the required and desired look to look that way. He probably meant 'you don't look like you feel comfortable doing art nudes' in some shots... I don't think that but that's how he saw the look so just made a passing comment. I'm not sure it is fair to say he's weird or a weirdo... he may well be, or he may be not but I think he was trying to put the point across that he wanted to shoot you and didn't mind if he shot you with your clothes on. And then he went on to say surely you could fit me in... I guess he probably just meant could you possibly stay a little longer in London as he'd like to shoot with you... I don't know the model or who wrote the email but I think all I'm trying to put across is that sometimes it is easy to say one thing and mean it one way and by the time the person reads it and then posts it on general forums for everyone to put their say in, what was intended sometimes gets very distorted. It's so easy to get offended but at the end of the day he was a potential customer... that's probably not now... |
