| GrimeAndGlamour Photographer  Location United Kingdom Tyne and Wear newcastle upon tyne | I recently opened Lightroom 3 to import some new files. It crashed and so opened it again and it said "The LR catalogue named 'LR3 catalogue' cannot be opened because another application already has it opened...quit the other copy of lightroom before trying again." I did that but the same thing happened. I have rebooted the computer and the same thing happened again. All my imported work from the past month that I have preocessed (but not exported as jpegs) have gone from LR. I know I can re-import but obvioulsy gutted I will have re process but more importantly how do I get the correct catalogue to be re-imported back into LR as it was beforte crashing? Thanks in advance for any help. Chris. |

| anthonyh Photographer Location United Kingdom Essex | Have you set LR to back up your catalogues?...and have you a general back up protocol anyway? I use a Mac so I could get the catalogue back by going to the backup made by LR or the general backup made by Time Machine.
