| amyjaney1994 Model | I know there are different genres in modelling but this is a question generally in the industry all together, if you have a look through my pictures I am probably one of the few youngest girls on here ( being 18 ) however, I look young and only stand at 5'3. Curse or advantage? What do you think? Who else here is a spring chicken who feels this way? I do not want to get into glamour FOR NOW but in future I feel as though as it will hold me back in future. Please post your opinions on this guys! Amy Jane xXx |

| mgphotomedia Photographer | 18 isn't young for non-glamour modelling. But at only 5' 3" you don't have many sensible options other than glamour. If you really want to make something of your modelling I wouldn't hang about. |

If I were you I'd strike whilst the iron's hot, make the most of your youth and your looks. I'm not suggesting that you should get into adult levels, glamour doesn't necessarily mean porn. |

| amyjaney1994 Model | Well that's the first I've heard of it! I've actually had a passionate photographer with 50+ recommendations talk me OUT of glamour it unless it was something I really wanted to do as I have other options. He also knows one who's 5'2 and earns a decent living. Thanks though To the 2nd comment thanks I'm glad to hear! |

| HowardJ Photographer Location United Kingdom Surrey | I think you'd do well in glamour. I too would be interested to hear the alternatives the 50+ references photographer suggested. I'd suggest making your own mind up and maybe trying some of the glamour agencies like Girl management or Sam Bond and seeing what they think your chances are in glamour. |

| tarmoo Photographer Location United Kingdom Kent Chatham | You are very pretty and curvy - ideal for glamour. I think you need to build up your portfolio. I am sure you will find quite a few good photographers willing to work with you. |

| amyjaney1994 Model | Fair dos! And everyone has a different view on what glamour is and yep! I will be approaching these agencies when I am brave and physically fitter as these two agencies are BRUTALLY honest. There are types such as 'petite, lifestyle, fitness, editorial, etc.' As he claimed, I KNOW I could not do catwalk or high fashion. And that doesn't bother me as it is not my 'thing', I prefer the curvy look, but the proof is there, the chances aren't as limited for shorter women as I've SEEN successful ones who don't need to strip off to get somewhere but everyones entitled to their own opinion. I'm glad to hear that I could do glamour though and I don't look too child like! Thanks guys |
