| kinkykira19 Model | Ok, I know this is technically in the wrong section as this is technically a looking for work thread, but I also have some questions to ask. Ok, I understand that many photographers and some models have an MUA who they take along with them to everyshoot. I was wondering if this is a paid thing or mutually beneficial in payment of shots. I was looking at finding a local MUA who would be happy coming along to shoots with me to do my hair and make up, but I was wondering how likely this would be? |

| ukmakeupartist Make-up Artist | Hi Most makeup artists will want a variety of models in their books to show that they are versatile with skin tones etc so the likelyhood of someone doing this as a trade in pictures is low. I would think that the partnerships you are talking about would be on a paid basis. If you have a lot of shoots and there is going to be a lot of work available for the artist they might be able to negotiate a rate! Lucy x |

Lucy x I agree with Lucy, if its regular work the mua should negotiate a reduced rate. Claire ![]() |
