Studio Blanco is situated in the heart of East Oxford. We are nestled within a small community of artisans, and are lucky enough to be surrounded by some great coffee shops, bars and restaurants. The studio is compact but extremely versatile. Our aim is to offer a space in which you are able to create your own mood and atmosphere, a place in which you will feel comfortable exploring your ideas and fulfilling your potential as a photographer. So many studios are intimidating and overwhelm the individual to the point that they become self-conscious, but we want the opposite; we want to offer you a blank canvas onto which you are able to project your desired aesthetic, a relaxed and inspiring space in which to achieve your goals. We have all the equipment you will need to get the shots you are after. All you have to do is bring your camera and imagination. Previous clients have used the studio to create product images, record album art, nude and portrait photography, or simply to build up their portfolios by experimenting within the space. You can choose your backdrop to create flawless, professional images, then experiment with our array of state of the art lighting until you get the exact mood and definition you are after. We also have a changing room and various props and seating that you might find invaluable on the day. We have been around for six years and in that time it has been our pleasure to play host to countless photographers, models, artists and business professionals. Our aim has always been the same: to offer a space in which the client feels comfortable and confident. Opening hours: Monday to Sunday from 8:00am until midnight Monday to Saturday studio hire £15 per the hour Sunday studio hire £20 per the hour Oxford photographic studio hire includes: 4 Bowens Espirit / System 500w/s complete with two soft box Two Umbrellas 4" (6.3mm) Snoot Cone with Honeycomb 700mm Beauty Dish Paper background (white, cream, charcoal, chromagreen, red and black) UNLESS damaged during the session, for which a charge of £9per meter will apply You are welcome to borrow our flash exposure meter, at no extra cost. HOW TO FIND US Studio Blanco is situated in the heart of East Oxford, at the foot of the historical High Street. Our address is Studio Blanco Off Dawson Street Oxford OX4 1HS • Access to the studio is from Dawson Street. There is a pathway to the left of the Kaz Bar and you will find us nestled just above Annie Sloan’s studio warehouse space. Please note there is no access to the premises from the Cowley Rd. Also note that there is no parking at the studio but there is a cheap and convenient “Pay and Display” car park on St Clements. Parking details can be found below. Public Transport • If you are travelling by coach from London, there is a stop at St Clements. From there we are just a two minute walk away as Dawson Street is the first left off of St Clements if you are walking towards The Plain. • If you are travelling by coach and intend to arrive at Gloucester Green Station, then it is just a short walk into the city centre. From there it is a five minute bus journey to the studio. Buses depart from Queen Street (The number 1 & 4) and there is a stop on St Clements. If you are new to Oxford, we recommend that you forget about the bus and simply walk the length of the high street. This is only a ten minute walk and offers you the chance to stretch your legs and take in some of the wonderful sights the city has to offer. • If you are travelling by train, you can catch the number 5 bus from the station to St Clements. Parking There is a cheap and convenient Pay and Display car park on St Clements. This is situated two hundred yards from The Plain Roundabout and is a very short walk from the studio: if you are using SatNav, the postcode is OX4 1FN. There is free on-street parking on Marston Road: if you are using SatNav the postcode is OX4 1FN. There is also free parking on Cowley Place (just off of The Plain) OX4 1DY. Spaces in the above locations are limited so we recommend the Pay and Display if you want to save yourself some unnecessary stress. i had a great shoot here last week. the studio has great space and equipment, would highly recommend to anyone.
i also had a shoot with Sabel who was amazing, the pictures looked really good, he gave me great direction and we had a great shoot all in all. would highly recommend anyone wanting to work with him. thank you :)

I had a studio day here on Saturday. Sab is one of the nicest people I have ever met! So down to earth professional lovely guy! The studio is great, lots of props backdrops and plenty to work with. I really really enjoyed it and I cant wait to do another studio day later in the year. Highly Recommended x

On Saturday I attended a lighting for nude workshop at the studio, and then an hour of 1:1. The model was Roseanne_88 who, as always, was superb. Sabel led the training very ably and gave us plenty of opportunity to try things out. For the later shoot, he was helpful in a low key way enabling me to leave with some great images. I very much commend this lovely little studio, a hidden gem in the city, and Sabel himself as a quiet and helpful person.
