I have been taking photos since my service as a U.S. Navy Intelligence Photographer aboard the U.S.S. Oldendorf stationed in Yokosuka, Japan in 1985. I have since shifted my focus from Soviet ships, and aircraft as well as the beauty of the 14 countries I spent time in throughout the Far East. I have worked in photography in a semi-professional capacity for 24+ years now. I have a degree in T.V. Production, and worked in the Chicago T.V. market for ten years. I have many years of experience with professional models, and modeling agencies. My photos have been used in the portfolios of those seeking modeling careers, as well as building portfolios. This is not a commercial venture, purely an artistic one. I do this for love not money, and it is evident in my work. So as a result I work free of charge, in a TFP (Trade For Pictures) arrangements. It cost you nothing but your time, and beauty. This opportunity is for anyone with undiscovered beauty, those with no modeling experience who know they have potential... or have been told so many times it must be true. Also those who want fresh portfolio photos, or anyone pursuing a modeling career. Photography is something I have done for a long time, and have a natural gift for composition. Above all I am artist more than a "photographer". Anyone can pick up a book, and a camera do text book studio lighting and be a "photographer". I have always aspired to be more, for that is all "I" can be:) My portfolio speaks for itself, view my work and be the judge. I believe in genuine, honest, non-synthetic photographs, free of too much corruption. In other words I use manipulation very sparingly. I use Photo shop to adjust very little, and never use filters and effects. I feel 95% of the finished image should be born when the shutter snaps. This is a matter of character and integrity to which I am held to in all my art forms. I believe the farther away you get from the original image, the farther you stray from the truth. It is an ideal stance, and what sets me apart. My photos may not be as "Finished" as others work, but they are honest. This is the hardest path one can travel, and I do it consciously. "Art cannot exist without suffering... usually the more the suffering the better the art". The harder the path the truer the direction, as a result the universe will force you to be honest. Yes... I know "art is suffering" is so cliche... but cliche's have a foundation in truth. They are a form of passed down conventional wisdom in the human spices, and why they still survive today. Ultimately I am seeking unique photogenic faces, to create gallery level photographs in an honest fashion. I'm looking for people who are naturally comfortable in front of the camera. Beauty is only one part of the equation, you have to be comfortable in your own skin too. I work for the sake of the art form. Creating something interesting, and beautiful is what makes life worth being a part of. It is also a way to leave a legacy that will mark my time here...
