Work experience? Well I did get paid for several shoots, but I still consider myself an amateur photographer... - I collaborate with DE Photo, an Irish event photography company. They call me twice a year to help shooting The World Pipe Band Championships as well as The Cowal Gathering in Dunoon. - In July 2012, I started participating in FIAP/RPS/PSA competitions - My photos were published in a couple of newspapers as well as on flyers announcing motorcycle racing event - I'm a member of The Royal Photographic Society and The Bureau of Freelance Photographers - I've passed a course with The Photography Institute, but the most of my experience comes from self-studying and learning from my mistakes FIAP/RPS/PSA acceptances: 2013: 2nd EXHIBITION OF PHOTOGRAPHY "PORTRAIT 2013 - PARACIN" (Paracin, Serbia) - 3 photos accepted 2012: 2nd Indonesian Salon of Art Photography (Jakarta, Indonesia) - 2 photos accepted 1st Bardaf International Exhibition (Bardejov, Slovakia) - 1 photo accepted Emirates Photography Competition (Abu Dhabi, UAE) - 2 photos accepted

Hello and thank you for taking the time to read my profile. My name is Vlasta and I'm a photographer trying to make a splash in Glasgow's photography pond. I shoot sport, fashion, portraits, social events, even landscapes during my regular hillwalking trips. Photography is a huge hobby of mine, not a business venture. I shoot what/who I like, when I like and, surprisingly, sometimes I even get paid to do so. If I had to describe myself, I'd say I'm a competitive photographer, specializing on portraits- I recently found out about competitions regulated by FIAP, RPS and PSA and joined the circuit. What appeals to me is that the results are not decided by number of "likes" on facebook, but rather a panel of judges. So far I entered two competitions and my photos were accepted for one of them. 50% is not bad, but I hope to get much, much better. I joined this site to find new models, MUAs and even photographers to learn from, and, hopefully, to become friends with. As I mentioned, photography is not about money for me, so I'll be offering and looking for TF* shoots mostly. Apart from photography, my hobbies include hillwalking, reading, watching movies, listening to music, playing a guitar (well, trying to play a guitar), fighting the photoshop on regular basis and, since I'm a guy, online gaming ;) If something I wrote sparked an interest in you, don't hesitate to contact me...
