I worked with James for the first time last week and we had a fantastic shoot. James has such a great look and is quick to understand what the photographer is looking for, as well as being hugely creative himself and able to off plenty of suggestions artisitcally.
Our shoot was time pressured and a fantastic but not necessarily easy to work in location and James dealt with all these difficulties really professionally. He was very respectful to me and we all had a really enjoyable shoot. I would not hesitate to work with James again, and think he is a fantastic model.
It is my belief that male / female nude shoots are by far the most challenging for both photographers and models, even more so when the models have not met each other, and the photographer has only had email contact!
So today's shoot, with Raine (female), and James (male) in the exceptionally complex environment of an inner city boxing gym most certainly met that challenge head-on.
To say that my models met that challenge would be an understatement. James was exceptional. He intrinsically understood every pose we were working towards. He supported Raine in some complex and demanding poses, and held some stunning poses in his own right as a solo male model.
James and I had looked forward to working together for many months, and to do so was a huge privelege and pleasure. He was friendly and easy-going on the shoot, respectful to my female model (Raine), constructive, self-critical and creative. I could not have asked for more!
Had the pleasure of an all-day shoot with James. He's experienced, creative, hard-working, enthusiastic, energetic, has individuality, and is a lovely, unpretentious guy with a great sense of humour - a pleasure to work with in every respect. The pictures? Oh, yes... Thanks to his input, I was absolutely delighted with the pics. Great shoot!
