Experience:
Photography has interested me ever since childhood but as an admirer rather than practioner. Until a few years back had never shot anymore than interesting sights on holiday and always wondered about getting into more commercial, architectural and figure/art nude photography but for years did not know where to start! Did my first figure photography through a now defunct studio in Leeds, and then moved to the US where I have spent a couple of years living and working in New York and whilst there joined a photography club that gave me access to studio, local model register, and taught me the basics of photography and how to properly use a DLSR to control light intake, depth of field etc so I overcame the fear and went "fully manual". I've been lucky enough to have a few photos published in a number of magazines and more recently for the catalogue of a friend's fashion firm (I was available and cheap!!). Also worked for a number of websites (again nothing to knock your socks off i am afraid) and have 2 clients i am regularly commissioned to shoot not for publication commissions for, no great shakes but it's a start and an earner both sides of the lens! Worked with a number of kind models in the US who bore with me whilst I learnt a little more about the art of figure photography and now with renewed confidence am looking to build my portfolio as I am back living in the Uk where i have been fortunate to work with models like Roseanne Barrett, Fiona York, Brook Logan, Katy Pectin, Joceline Brook Hamilton, Annabella Bottali, Iveta Niklova and Stacey Von. Looking forward to shooting with many more purestorm members....

Comments:
In particular I would really like to build a portfolio of strong, and artistic art nude work. I do enjoy location photography and have access to some interesting locations including a converted church (in York!) and local sites such as a ruined abbey. Would love to capture some strong in locations like these contrasting the firm lines of ancient buildings with the flowing figure of a nude model. I can also provide regular work for my private clients (not by usual preference as all art nude and light fetish / bondage, but well paid for me, and potentially good regular work for models, many of whom I have shot 6 or more times for). I am happy to pay usual rates for model bookings, and if by chance any of the images are good enough for a model to wish to have copies will gladly provide edited images on a CD for their use. Looking forward to working with many of the purestorm members soon!

What can I say?! I had a thoroughly wonderful first shoot with J yesterday at my home. The shoot had been months in the making and I had been very much looking forward to it. I wasn't disappointed! J is a truly lovely chap, and a joy to work with. I have every faith and trust in him, and felt very well looked after throughout. I simply cannot wait for our next shoot - already under discussion! I had a shoot with jay yesterday at the cottage studio.He came prepared and the time flew by.Jay is a nice down to earth gentleman with a good sense of humour,All in all it was a lovely morning and i hope to work with him again :)

Had a very enjoyable shoot with Jay yesterday! He was friendly and chatty from the start. Made me feel comfortable and made sure I was happy all the way through the shoot. I shot with Jay today at The loft house and had a fantastic time! Comms were great, very professional and picked up lighting techniques very quickly.
He gave direction well and knew what he wanted from the shoot and how to achieve it. very relaxed shoot but at the same time very productive.
Overrall the shoot went really well and I look forward to shooting with him again when I return. I highly recommend working with him!
